Michael T.K. Conching

President and CEO

Michael Conching is specially qualified to manage all types of hazardous waste management operations including all RCRA and non-RCRA waste management via vacuum trucks, drums and other containers; underground storage tank pulls; and large contaminated soil projects.

An environmental sales and service professional for over nineteen years, Michael’s experience includes pricing, contracts, invoicing, profiling of waste, manifesting, waste sampling, tracking of loads, and general problem resolution. His extensive knowledge of ever- changing federal and state regulations along with his years of experience dealing with all facets of hazardous waste management serve his clients well.

At his previous employment, Asbury, Michael successfully secured important service contracts from companies in the oil drilling industry, public works, and metal fasteners treating industry, and sanitation & water districts. He personally managed and oversaw the contracts by coordinating all scheduled services and ensuring contract compliance and was the senior sales associate at Asbury. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

Tasha Lyn Conching

Vice President

Tasha Conching is the Vice President of Clear Blue Environmental and serves as Chief Financial Officer as well as legal counsel. Tasha holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California and a Law Degree from Whittier Law School. Her background in the environmental field and her legal education will help assure that Clear Blue Environmental stay in compliance.

An environmental sales and service professional for over thirteen years, Tasha’s experience includes pricing, contracts, invoicing, profiling of waste, manifesting, waste sampling, tracking of loads, and environmental compliance.

At her previous employment, Asbury, Tasha had successfully secured important service contracts from companies in the petroleum industry, railroad industry, government agencies and automotive. She personally managed and oversaw the contracts by coordinating all scheduled services and ensuring contract compliance at Asbury.

Rafael Arellano

Rafael Arellano heads up Clear Blue’s operations by developing and implementing operational, administrative and financial management strategies.

An environmental industry expert with two decades and a half of diverse field experience, Mr. Arellano also provides expert interpretation of our laboratory analyses. He has extensive knowledge of regulatory and environmental health and safety requirements for private- and public-sector customers; identification and categorization of chemicals and hazardous waste; and proper packaging, handling, transportation, and paperwork prerequisites for disposal facilities.

As past coordinator of an after-hours emergency response program, Rafael Arellano represented his previous employer in emergency response situations as both a first responder and an incident commander. Mr. Arellano’s experience also encompasses LDR management, lab packs, proper container labeling, vehicle placarding, and facility compliance audits.

In addition, Mr. Arellano negotiated contracts, prepared proposal and bid packages, offered bi-lingual training to staff, and provided hazardous materials and hazardous waste consulting services to over 500 of clients, including Amtrak, Parker Hannifin, and the cities of Long Beach, Inglewood, Downey, Compton and Lancaster. He has been in the environmental industry since 1986.

Tomas Arellano

Tomas Arellano has been in the environmental industry since December of 1992. As Field Supervisor, he is an expert at hazardous waste identification, handling and transportation. He also manages customer accounts, assuring that they are kept in compliance and that their waste is properly handled.

His responsibilities included the proper identification and categorization of chemicals and hazardous waste; and proper packaging, handling, loading and unloading, and transportation. He was also responsible for the preparation of various summary reports.

In addition, Mr. Arellano is trained manage emergency response situations as a first responder. His experience also includes LDR management, lab packs, proper container labeling, and vehicle placarding

Karen Castro

Ms. Castro, as the Technical Services Manager, reviews and completes all waste profiles, provides proper shipping names for manifests and labels, and provides any needed technical assistance to salespeople or customers. Ms. Castro has many years of experience in the hazardous waste industry and is well versed on all regulations and required paperwork. She received her education at Golden West College – Huntington Beach, CA and Long Beach City College, Long Beach, CA

Ms. Castro’s organizational skills and attention to detail keep Clear Blue in compliance with current regulations and requirements. She also manages our profile and project databases, assuring that our customers waste streams are properly profiled and manifested.
